Remember.

I'd like to take a moment to thank all those service men past and present, who have so faithfully served our country so that we may continue to enjoy the freedoms we do.
Thank you. Words could never express our families' appreciation for your service.

Soccer...

Yes please!
I finally remembered to bring my camera last night to Brandon's soccer game.
He is so stinkin cute out there... even if he just likes to follow the ball, and not really touch it. At least it gets him tired right?!

He's a little man in action:

Waving for the ball to be thrown to him:

A moment of choosing to go after it! Yeah for Brandon, and yeah for soccer!
Sitting in the horrendous wind... not so much.

First Grade Fun.

So I braved a field trip with my little first graders.
Well I was with Kylee all day, but Brandon,
my little mommas boy did manage to find me a few times.:)
Their field trip was to the ZOO and the Sand Dunes.
We had just beautiful weather Monday, but today it was 60, which doesn't sound bad, but add 50 MPH winds and seriously I was putting on a smiley face for these girls I was in charge of.

Looking at the turtles:

For this little zoo in Idaho Falls, I was pretty impressed with the animals they had!

My cute little group of girls:

 Lady lion:

A weird sloth bear. Very interesting creature.

They just got this Tiger, and apparently he was very shy. But our little group got to witness a glimpse of him as he peaked out of his cave!

After the zoo, we headed to a park for lunch, where the teachers ruled out the sand dunes due to the wind. THANK YOU. 50 MPH winds and sand just didn't seem like a good combination to me. So they let the kids play at the park after lunch, and they found a volleyball sand pit to make up for missing out on the sand dunes! Don't you just love little kids creativity?!
I love that they can find fun in anything. We adults should take a little lesson in their optimism in life sometimes.
Now when I mentioned I braved this field trip, it wasn't cause I didn't think it wouldn't be fun. It's the leaving part for me that is miserable. Kylee loves school, really. But for whatever reason, whether it's coming to help in the classroom, or a filed trip, she throws a huge fit when it's time for me to leave.
She didn't disappoint this time either. It really is endearing, and I'm glad she loves me. But it makes helping out and doing these things a nightmare. I hope she grows out of this soon. Cause I don't want to continue to look like the slacker mom who doesn't ever help out.
Right now that's what I am.

Girls Weekend.

(notice Brookie's little friend under the tree...)
Since this past weekend was father and sons camp out, us girlies decided to head down to SLC to hang out with Hanna and Sandy.

We had so much fun hanging out, eating treats, and shopping!

And Kylee had fun taking LOTS of pictures. I'll only torture you with one:
Yeah for fun weekends!

A New Friend.

Brooke has a new best friend.
Meet Chloe. She LOVES Chloe! And so much so she escapes the house whenever she can to "hunt" down her favorite friend. And those who know me, know that I am NOT a huge dog person.
But this dog, I could adopt. She could be my new friend too. She lives right across the street from us, and any time I come out or Brooke, she books it over to com play with us!

And how could you not want to be around this cute face?!

And really, this face could make many want to have a dog:

Brooke wanted in on the picture taking action. This is what you get.
P.S. I think summer is here!

Life of a Soccer Mom.

I have now entered the life of a soccer mom.
And quite literally this spring with all three of the older ones playing.
Because of our crazy life this is how Brooke gets her naps in these days:
Poor little lady. But I guess that's what happens when she's the baby of the family.

My month has been crazy, and I have failed at bringing the camera, until Caden's last game he had. So I finally captured what has been filling our afternoons five days a week.

Not the best picture due to the sun, but I thought it was a great action picture, and Caden right in the middle, and making contact with the ball!
After non stop sports since October with the kiddos, I will be grateful for the summer off... until we start up again in August.
It has been so much fun to see my kids play sports and discover things they love, or things they don't EVER want to do again. It's so much fun to be in this phase of Soccer mom. I love it!

10 Years.

This was us 10 years ago today:
I seriously can't even believe how fast time flies!
The past 10 years have been the best 10 years of my life. I feel so blessed to have met and married Ryan. He is my soul mate, and my best friend. He takes care of me, and loves me even through all my faults, and is an amazing father to our children.

 And this is us today:
I used to think we haven't changed much... but boy, yes we have. We no longer look like babies!
And that we were. Kylee and BRooke are NOT allowed to get married at the age I did. sheesh. :)
Ryan I love you. I am so blessed to have you in my life. And lucky for me, I get to keep you for Eternity. Happy Anniversary!

Beautiful.

We had amazing weather last week! And we took advantage of it. We spent every moment we could being outside! I can't get enough of this tree in our yard:

It smells SOOO good. What is it? Can anyone tell me?!

The girls love being outside! And it so fun having a nice big yard to play in.

Kylee is always ready for a pose!
One day we were 85+ in Idaho, in April. Just amazing. So the kids and a neighbor friend had a lemonade stand. Oh that brought back some memories!
Oh I can't wait for summer.
But in true high desert fashion, a few days later there were flurries. Yep.
Minnesota isn't the only place with bipolar weather.
